I want to
take the opportunity now to thank you, Grace Life Church of the Shoals, Second Baptist Church of West Frankfurt (Illinois), and
Anchored in Truth Ministries for the tremendous blessing of having you serve
alongside us a couple of weeks ago, and for your continuing prayers on our
behalf.
With your
team’s help, we were able to cover much more ground and make a bigger impact
than might otherwise have been the case. We have kept record of the contacts
that were made through door-to-door and street evangelism and continue to
follow them up. While their lives are often complex and there is much to
distract them from things of eternal significance, we are trusting God to
overcome them by his Spirit and to enliven them to the gospel of our Lord and
Saviour Jesus Christ.
Perhaps
most significantly, you helped us kick-start a new ministry that we have been
praying for and planning since last year. Through the initial leafleting and
follow up visitation at the Sky City housing project, we built up a presence on
the site that we had been working toward but had not yet gotten. Our first
meeting was attended by a Roman Catholic Eritrean woman and a young Iranian man
who was attending a church-related meeting for the third time in his life. We
have sought to maintain the momentum built up with your assistance and I have
been joined by several church members in door-to-door work at the project,
which has led to some in depth gospel conversations. Please continue to pray
for the meetings we are holding in the community centre - we have three more
that are scheduled: Atonement, Confession, and Eternity. Pray especially that
the people we are reaching would know the atoning work of Christ personally,
would confess their sins and confess Christ as Lord, and would have total
assurance of eternal life with Christ.
Thank you
for faithfully proclaiming the word of God to the people of the world,
particularly those who have sovereignly been gathered in diverse Wood Green. People
are getting to know who we are and what we are doing at Grace Baptist Church
Wood Green, and most importantly, they are getting to know the good news about
Jesus for all who believe in him. I can say with absolute confidence, "we
will reap at the proper time if we don't give up" (Galatians 6:9).
We look
forward to serving with you again someday, Lord willing.
With much
gratitude
Yours in
Christ
